Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Lucky Pick Now (“the Site”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains how the Site handles information when you visit and use luckypicknow.com, as well as the choices available to you.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to the online random picker, contact page, and other website content provided through luckypicknow.com.
When you follow a link from the Site to a third-party website or service, that third party’s own privacy policy applies. Such websites and services are not covered by this Policy.
2. Lists and Picked Results
Names, text, or other items entered into the random picker are processed only in the browser you are currently using. The Site does not:
- Send your list or picked results to the Site’s server or database.
- Send names, list content, or actual picked results to Google Analytics.
- Actively store, sell, rent, or provide your list to third parties.
The current version does not actively save your list. After you refresh or close the page, the Site does not retain your list or picked results for you.
Please do not enter identification numbers, phone numbers, full addresses, passwords, financial information, health information, or other sensitive information unrelated to the purpose of the picker.
3. Hosting and Necessary Technical Logs
The Site uses Hostinger for website hosting, domain services, DNS, HTTPS, and related infrastructure. When you access the Site, hosting or security systems may automatically generate general technical logs for service delivery, security maintenance, and troubleshooting, such as:
- IP address and approximate country or region.
- Date and time of access, and the requested URL or file.
- Browser, device, operating system, and network request information.
- Error records, security events, and information required to prevent abuse.
The actual processing and retention of these logs may depend on Hostinger’s system settings, security requirements, and policies.
The Site does not match hosting logs with the information entered into the random picker.
4. Google Analytics 4
The Site uses Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to understand general website usage and improve the service. GA4 is loaded only after you consent to analytics.
Information processed by GA4 may include:
- Pages visited, sessions, and traffic sources.
- Browser, device, operating system, and approximate geographic location.
- Page views and website interaction events that do not contain list data, such as completing a pick, resetting the draw, clearing the list, or opening an FAQ item.
The Site does not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, complete lists, or actual picked results to GA4. Google Analytics policies also prohibit customers from sending personally identifiable information.
The Site has set the retention period for GA4 user-level and event-level data to 14 months. Certain aggregated reports may not be affected by this setting.
Google may process analytics information in countries or regions outside your location.
5. Cookies and Browser Storage
Necessary Preference Storage
The Site uses browser local storage (localStorage) to remember your cookie choice, the time of that choice, your Quick Mode preference, and your language preference.
Your cookie choice is expected to remain stored for approximately six months. Your Quick Mode and language preferences remain stored until you change them or clear your browser data.
These preferences do not contain your list or picked results.
Website Experience Analytics
GA4 uses the required first-party cookies or similar technologies only after you select “Accept All Cookies” or enable “Website Experience Analytics” in Cookie Settings.
Choosing “Necessary Cookies Only” does not affect the random picker or other essential website functions.
You can enable or disable Website Experience Analytics at any time through “Cookie Settings” in the footer. When you disable it, the Site stops future analytics tracking and attempts to remove GA4 cookies that the Site is able to control.
Advertising Cookies
The Site currently does not use Google AdSense, personalized advertising, or marketing cookies.
If advertising services are added in the future, this Policy and the Cookie preference system will be updated before those services are enabled.
6. Email Communications
When you voluntarily send an email to fanwebsitestudio@gmail.com, the Site may receive and process:
- Your email address.
- The contents of your message.
- Any name, attachment, or other information you voluntarily provide.
This information is used only to respond to questions, address technical issues, review collaboration inquiries, maintain website security, or retain necessary communication records.
Emails may be processed through Gmail, a service provided by Google, and may be stored or processed outside your country or region.
Messages are retained for a reasonable period necessary to respond, handle the request, and maintain relevant records. They may be deleted or archived when they are no longer required.
Please do not send unnecessary sensitive personal information or complete picker lists by email.
7. Purposes of Data Processing
The Site may process necessary information for the following purposes:
- Providing, maintaining, and protecting the website.
- Understanding general traffic and improving pages and user flows.
- Troubleshooting errors, compatibility problems, and security issues.
- Responding to emails and reasonable user requests.
- Preventing malicious access, fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity.
- Complying with applicable laws, court orders, or government requirements.
The Site does not use your picker list for analytics, advertising, marketing, or personal profiling.
8. Third-Party Service Providers
The Site currently may use the following third-party services:
- Hostinger: Website hosting, domain services, DNS, HTTPS, technical logs, and security maintenance.
- Google Analytics: Website traffic and feature interaction analytics after the user gives consent.
- Gmail: Receiving and processing emails voluntarily sent by users.
These service providers may process necessary information in accordance with their own terms of service and privacy policies.
9. Sharing and Disclosure
The Site does not sell, rent, or exchange your picker list or personal information.
Necessary technical or contact information may be processed by the service providers listed above as part of providing their services.
Information may also be processed or disclosed when reasonably necessary to:
- Operate website hosting, analytics, or email services.
- Investigate security incidents, fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity.
- Comply with applicable laws, court orders, or government requests.
- Protect the legal rights and safety of the Site, its users, or third parties.
10. Data Retention
- Picker lists and results: Not retained by the Site.
- Cookie preference: Stored in your browser for approximately six months, or until you clear or change it.
- Quick Mode and language preferences: Stored until you change them or clear your browser data.
- GA4 user-level and event-level data: Set to a retention period of 14 months. Certain aggregated reports may not be affected.
- Hosting technical logs: Retained according to Hostinger’s system settings, security requirements, and policies.
- Email communications: Retained for a reasonable period necessary to respond, process requests, and maintain necessary records.
11. Your Choices and Data Rights
You may manage your privacy in the following ways:
- Disable Website Experience Analytics without affecting essential website functions.
- Change your analytics preference through “Cookie Settings” in the footer.
- Change your language through the page language switch.
- Clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser.
- Contact the Site by email to ask about, correct, or request deletion of contact information actually held by the Site.
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, a copy of, correction or supplementation of, restriction of collection or use of, or deletion of personal data actually retained by the Site.
Because the Site does not retain picker lists, there will generally be no list data available for access or deletion.
12. Children and Sensitive Information
The Site is a general-purpose random picker and is not designed for the purpose of collecting children’s personal information.
Teachers, parents, or event organizers who enter the names of minors should ensure that they have an appropriate purpose and any necessary permission.
Where possible, consider using first names, nicknames, student numbers, or custom codes, and avoid combining them with other identifying information.
13. Information Security
The Site takes reasonable technical and administrative measures, including:
- Using HTTPS.
- Avoiding unnecessary user accounts or list databases.
- Not sending picker lists to the Site’s server.
- Limiting the information included in analytics events.
However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should continue to avoid entering or sending unnecessary sensitive information.
14. Changes to This Policy
The Site may update this Policy when its features, third-party services, legal requirements, or operating practices change.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised whenever the Policy is updated. For significant changes, the Site may also provide a notice on the website.
If the Site adds Google AdSense, user accounts, contact forms, list storage, newsletters, or other data-processing features in the future, the relevant disclosures will be updated before those features are enabled.
